When buying or selling a condo in Downtown, an important factor to be aware of is whether or not that condo development is in litigation. Condo litigation is a normal part of the condo life cycle and during the first 10 years since the development was completed, a litigation is expected to happen.
If you are buying a condo, a litigation can make obtaining a loan more difficult if not impossible in some cases. If you are buying a downtown San Diego condo without the need for a home loan, the choice to purchase is yours. All litigations can be different in scope and cost, therefore I strongly encourage you to fully investigate any and all litigation details thoroughly.
