Cortez Hill San Diego
Cortez Hill is one of downtown San Diego’s oldest residential neighborhoods as the hill has drawn residents for over a century and some of the original Victorian style house of its first residents are still present today. It was named after the famous El Cortez Hotel, which in the recent years has been restored and converted into condominiums.
Cortez Hill is located southwest of Balboa Park, south of the Park West/Bankers Hill neighborhood, north of Downtown's Core District and east of Little Italy San Diego. It is bordered by Interstate 5 to the north, Ash and A Streets to the south, 11th Avenue and State Rout 163 to the east and Front Street to the west.
